Job Description and Duties

Under the administrative direction of the Executive Officer, the incumbent provides direction to the five bureaus of the Finance and Executive Services Division (FESD). The incumbent is the Chief Financial Officer for the Franchise Tax Board and serves as the highest-level financial advisor to executive management on financial management and policy issues. These responsibilities have direct impact on the formulation of departmental fiscal and legislative policies, development of strategic direction and executive decision making, program effectiveness and the quality of services to the public.

Working Conditions

• This position requires 4 or more days in the office per week. It is designated office-centered and may be eligible for some remote work based on departmental guidelines and operational need.
