Description Diversified Conveyors International (DCI) is seeking a detail‑oriented and proactive Buyer to support our Project Management team by procuring materials, equipment, and services required for baggage handling systems, parcel conveyor systems, and material handling projects across North America. Job Type Full‑time Responsibilities Compile and send RFQs (Request for Quotations) to potential suppliers Answer, or assist with answering, any questions/issues that arise during the bid process Review Quotations Review drawings, specifications, and contracts before issuing the PO to ensure compliance with contractual documents Purchase general and specialized equipment and material on schedule Receive order acknowledgement for the PO and verify all material, pricing, delivery and shipping information is correct Follow up with supplier weekly to ensure procurement to the job site aligns with the project schedule Redact PO Log weekly and submit to the field site manager, onsite material manager, and inventory manager to communicate scheduled material arrivals Confirm with onsite inventory manager that all material has arrived to support the installation schedule Report any problems or issues that affect project success to management Create reports as required to keep management informed of progress and issues Visit job site as required to support the project Keep PO Log updated, complete, and accurate, including summary page Check IFR/IFC drawings against the POs to ensure nothing in the final design has changed and the field has all needed materials Update procurement project tracking log Complete any special projects as required by management Education, Skills, and Experience Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce or Supply Chain Management preferred 3–5 years’ experience in purchasing or material management, preferred within the construction industry Preferred Skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications Exceptional written and oral communication skills, including grammar, spelling, and proofreading Superior administrative capacity to manage multiple priorities from a variety of internal and external clients with minimal oversight Excellent interpersonal skills with proven teamwork, participation, and a heart to serve Skilled in database management and recordkeeping Able to gather and analyze information Able to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner Critical Qualities Proactive; able to lead others across departments Precise, efficient, organized, and able to drive deliverables Accurate, fast‑paced, attention to detail, and able to multi‑task Ability to work well with a variety of different project leaders A commitment to grow and mature in the mission, vision, and core values of the company A friendly, professional, optimistic demeanor Composure under pressure; flexibility Position Information Full time position; salary with benefits Work schedule: 45+ hours per week, which may include evenings and weekends This position will work from the Memphis, Tennessee office and report directly to the Director of Procurement Minimal travel No solicitation from staffing agencies, recruiters, or headhunters #J-18808-Ljbffr
