Details Emergency Department setting within a hospital environment PM shift schedule, 7p-7a, 3 days per week, 36 hours weekly Must be open to float to a sister hospital nearby On-call responsibilities required Uses Epic for charting and documentation Requirements Active NJ or compact RN license required Current BLS and ACLS certifications required PALS certification required for pediatric ER assignments Minimum 1 year of experience in Critical Care/Cardiac or Emergency Department nursing required Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred Knowledge of emergency equipment and procedures Strong documentation, patient education, and HIPAA compliance skills Familiarity with safe patient transfer techniques and proper body mechanics Additional Information Perform comprehensive patient assessments across all age groups from pediatric to geriatric Deliver direct patient care and support emergency procedures using appropriate equipment Maintain accurate and complete documentation of nursing care and patient progress Promote a patient- and family-centered care environment while maintaining confidentiality Follow National Patient Safety Goals including use of two patient identifiers Local candidates accepted Travelers may stay on assignment up to one calendar year from the initial start date, after which a break is required before starting a new assignment American Traveler Job ID P-750713.
