Description

American Traveler is seeking an Emergency Department RN with an active CA RN license and at least three years of ER experience for a night shift contract.

Details

• Emergency Department setting within a 72-bed acute care hospital
• Night shift, 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM, 36-48 hours per week
• Delivers coordinated nursing care for assigned patients and supervises and directs nursing staff activities
• Coordinates care with other disciplines using critical thinking and independent judgment

Requirements

• Active CA RN license required
• BLS certification from an AHA or ARC approved vendor required
• ACLS certification (AHA-ACLS or ARC-ALS) required
• PALS certification (AHA-PALS or ARC-PALS) required
• Minimum of three years of ER experience required, with recent experience within the last three months
• BSN preferred
• Acute care facility experience preferred
• Cerner or Epic experience must be documented in employment history if applicable

Additional Information

• Collects and analyzes patient data to determine diagnosis, plan interventions, and evaluate outcomes
• Collaborates with patients, families, and the healthcare team to provide safe, humane, and caring treatment
• Provides patient and family education and participates in discharge planning for continuity of care
• Delegates duties appropriately and coordinates activities among healthcare team members
• Required to receive all mandated vaccinations as a condition of employment, subject to medical or religious exemptions
• Candidates with more than 5 days of RTO will be automatically declined
• Candidates with any prior license actions will not be considered
• No radius restriction applies; local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travelers
• Traveler can only be placed at one hospital within the health system at a time
