Job Summary : Provides front-line technical assistance to customers and internal teams by diagnosing issues, delivering solutions, and ensuring a high-quality service experience. Serves as the bridge between users and technical teams, resolving product, system, or service problems efficiently while documenting interactions and identifying recurring trends. Duties/Responsibilities : Serve as the first point of contact for users seeking technical assistance via phone, email, chat, or ticketing system. Troubleshoot basic hardware, software, network, and system issues using established procedures and knowledge base resources. Document all support interactions, troubleshooting steps, and resolutions accurately within the ticketing system. Install, configure, and maintain standard desktop software, applications, and peripheral devices. Assist with user account setup, password resets, access permissions, and system onboarding tasks. Provide clear, step-by-step guidance to users with varying levels of technical proficiency. Monitor system alerts and service queues to ensure timely response and resolution. Follow IT policies, security procedures, and data protection standards. Contribute to knowledge base documentation by identifying recurring issues and documenting solutions. Support equipment inventory tracking and basic asset management activities. Perform other related duties as assigned. Required Skills/Abilities : Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong understanding of computer hardware and software systems. Ability to prioritize tasks and to delegate them when appropriate. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software. Ability to explain technical issues to technical and nontechnical employees and customers. Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn an array of computer hardware and software. Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience, preferred. Physical Requirements : Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
