Intellectual Property Specialist

Plano, TX | Monday–Friday | Fully Onsite An innovation-focused technology and R&D organization is seeking an IP Specialist to support patent coordination, invention disclosures, and intellectual property initiatives tied to emerging technologies and advanced research projects. This is a contract-to-hire opportunity with strong long-term potential, replacing a retiring team member and offering the chance to work closely with engineers, scientists, and executive leadership in a highly collaborative environment. What You’ll Do Support invention disclosures, patent coordination, and IP documentation Assist with prior art reviews, patent searches, and technical analysis Coordinate with internal R&D teams and external legal counsel Maintain IP records, tracking systems, and portfolio reporting Monitor technology trends and patent activity within advanced manufacturing and emerging technologies Qualifications 3+ years of experience in IP support, patent coordination, technology transfer, or related environments Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts clearly Highly organized with strong attention to detail Experience in semiconductor, electronics, advanced manufacturing, or related technical industries is a plus Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM Benefits include medical, dental, vision, 401(k), PTO, life and disability insurance This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working at the intersection of innovation, technology, and intellectual property in a fast-paced R&D environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
