Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Cardiac OR Registered Nurse to join our surgical team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both general operating room duties and cardiac open-heart procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist with circulating during heart cases including coronary bypass graft surgery (CABG) and valve procedures (MVR, AVR).
• Provide comprehensive nursing care in the operating room environment.
• Collaborate effectively with surgical team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Monitor patients' vital signs and respond to emergencies as needed during surgeries.
• Maintain a sterile environment and adhere to strict protocols for OR processes.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

• Minimum of two years of experience in a cardiac OR environment.
• Proficiency with Epic electronic health record system.
• Current nursing licensure in the state of New Jersey.
• Certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) are required.

On-Call Expectations

• Available for on-call duties, including a minimum of one weekend per month and nights as needed.
• Ability to respond to 8-hour call shifts as scheduled.
