The company is targeting $50 billion in annual revenue within the decade through accretive acquisitions and organic growth.The Material Handler supports daily yard and warehouse operations by accurately pulling, staging, and loading materials for delivery or production. This role plays a critical part in ensuring order accuracy, maintaining safe operations, and keeping workflow moving efficiently. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding outdoor environment.Pick, pull, and prepare materials based on work orders, pick tickets, or customer requestsAccurately verify quantities and record pulled materials to ensure order accuracyLoad and secure materials onto delivery vehicles to prevent damage during transportAssist with unloading inbound materials and organizing inventory in designated areasStage completed orders in proper sequence to support efficient delivery routesInspect materials for quality and report any damage, discrepancies, or shortagesOperate forklifts and other material handling equipment safely and efficientlySupport drivers and team members to ensure orders are complete and ready on timeMaintain clean, organized, and safe work areas, including yard and equipment upkeepFollow standardized processes for order flow, staging, and loading proceduresMonitor for safety hazards and follow all company safety policies and PPE requirementsPerform additional duties as needed to support daily operationsThe ideal candidate is detail-oriented, safety-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, physically demanding outdoor environment.Strong attention to detail and ability to ensure order accuracyBasic math skills and ability to read pick tickets or work ordersAbility to work independently while coordinating with team members and driversStrong communication and teamwork skillsReliable attendance and strong work ethicSafety-first mindset in a fast-paced environmentForklift experience or willingness to obtain certificationExperience in material handling, warehouse, or yard operations preferredExperience working with building materials, lumber, or heavy products is a plusFamiliarity with loading, staging, and order sequencing processes preferredAbility to lift, carry, and move materials (frequently 50+ lbs, occasionally more)Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform physical tasks throughout an 8-hour shiftAbility to perform work in outdoor yard and warehouse environmentsComfortability with exposure to varying weather conditions (heat, humidity, cold, rain)Ability to safely operate forklifts and other yard equipmentWhat you'll earn:401(k) with employer matchMedical, dental, and vision insurancePTO, company holidays, and parental leaveBenefits for union-represented roles are determined by the applicable collective bargaining agreement and may differ from standard company benefits.QXO is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
