We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) - Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) to join a dedicated healthcare team committed to providing exceptional patient care. Position Summary
The Registered Nurse is responsible for performing patient assessments, developing individualized plans of care, implementing nursing interventions, and evaluating patient outcomes. The RN administers medications and treatments as ordered by physicians and in accordance with current clinical nursing practice standards.
The RN directs, monitors, and evaluates care delegated to non-licensed personnel and works collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members to ensure the safe, effective, and accurate delivery of patient care. This role also performs a variety of technical services in a cross-functional capacity to comprehensively meet patient needs.

The RN administers medications and treatments as ordered by physicians and in accordance with current clinical nursing practice standards.
The RN directs, monitors, and evaluates care delegated to non-licensed personnel and works collaboratively with interdisciplinary team members to ensure the safe, effective, and accurate delivery of patient care. This role also performs a variety of technical services in a cross-functional capacity to comprehensively meet patient needs.
Essential Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
- Implement and evaluate nursing interventions and patient outcomes.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Direct, monitor, and evaluate care delegated to non-licensed personnel.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
- Maintain patient safety, privacy, and confidentiality at all times.
- Provide patient and family education regarding care and recovery.
- Assume responsibility, under Laboratory direction, for:
- Patient specimen testing
- Quality control procedures
- Quality improvement activities
- Equipment maintenance
- Document patient care accurately and in compliance with regulatory standards.
- Participate in departmental and organizational quality improvement initiatives.
Education
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
- Minimum one (1) year of adult acute care nursing experience required.
- Cardiology/cardiovascular nursing experience preferred.
- PACU experience preferred.
- Current Registered Nurse license in the state of practice or a valid license from a Nursing Compact state.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) required within 30 days of employment for all RNs.
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) required within one year of employment for RNs whose home department or cross-training includes:
- PCU
- Emergency Department
- Cath Lab
- Outpatient Services
- Phase II Outpatient Cardiac Rehabilitation
- PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) or ENPC (Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course) required within one year of employment for RNs whose home department is the Emergency Department.
