Job Description

Pay Rate: $24.89 - $36.00 per hour

Work Schedule: 6:00 AM - 2:30 PM, Monday - Friday

Duties and Responsibilities

• Drive quality at the source through providing work stations with the quality at the source necessities
• Outline critical quality aspects and understand process capability and control
• Create the appropriate required standards through communication with customers and suppliers
• Provide all necessary quality tools and controls and create work instructions that detail the above
• Maintain quality at the source through providing general quality controls
• Audit the quality of in-coming material, finished product and work stations inspection process
• Support line supervision with line calls
• Participate with internal and external customers and vendors in resolving problems by investigating complaints, collecting necessary data and solving complaint based on established root cause
• Facilitate problem solving teams
• Lead improvement projects following defined problem-solving checklist including problem definition
• Analyze data using control charts, quality data, root cause diagrams.
• Communicate status of problem resolution via intranet feedback program
• Communicate all the above activities to supervision and work stations as appropriate.
• Support the standardization of the department through the creation and revision of procedural documentation
• All other functions as assigned

Qualifications

• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong presentation, negotiation and confrontational skills
• Knowledge and utilization of basic PC skills
• Basic Simonton product and process knowledge
• Must successfully pass color blindness test
