Childrenswear Technical Designer

Job TitleChildrenswear Technical DesignerResponsibilities: Manage the product lifecycle from pre-fitting through production fit approvalConduct fittings with live fit models by measuring garments, taking detailed fitting notes, editing comments, documenting fit corrections, and communicating updates to overseas teams and factoriesPartner with the Director of Technical Designer to create comprehensive initial technical packages and final full graded specificationsWork under the guidance of the Director of Technical Designer to execute necessary fit corrections, using diagrams and garment patterns effectively to achieve the desired fit, silhouette, and styleFacilitate communication with overseas offices and vendors to identify and resolve garment construction and production issuesMeet with the Production team weekly to review sample approval status and support compliance with the Time and Action CalendarInteract regularly with agents, overseas offices, and vendors to help problem-solve garment engineering issues throughout the product lifecycleMaintain accurate and detailed technical documentation throughout the development and production process*In office work with some work from home flexibility on Fridays*
