Medical Assistant / Services Coordinator Job Description As a member of our Services team, you'll be responsible for the organization of our medical care for individuals served. You will support day-to-day operations by performing administrative tasks and ensuring high quality customer service for our community partners and individuals served. When providing medical assistance, you will work with our team to coordinate health care in our service homes . You will perform various tasks on a daily basis. You must be able to multitask and prioritize. You will be expected to handle sensitive information confidentially. In this position, you will be responsible for maintaining an organized office, performing clerical duties, and assisting other employees as needed. Responsibilities include: Coordinate and schedule patient exams, including set-up, vitals, cleanup, documentation. Coordinate and ensure transportation is available for appointments as needed. Answer and direct telephone calls. Retrieve and direct incoming faxes to the appropriate team. Build and maintain provider schedules by individual served. Update and maintain records. Request and receive medical records. Facilitate referrals to physicians, specialists, home care, hospice and other healthcare/social services. Order and follow through on delivery of supplies. Perform general administrative, clerical, and executive support tasks. Assist current employees; provide support where needed. Assist in organizing and facilitating workflow to ensure a productive workplace. Operate office machinery such as computers, photocopiers, and printers.
