Adjunct Early Childhood Education Instructor YUBA COUNTY COMMUNITY COLLEGE DISTRICT The person selected will be expected to organize and teach all levels of lecture and laboratory Early Childhood Education classes; prepare complete course syllabi and outlines; actively participate with the ECE Advisory Committee and child development agencies; facilitate student learning by working to develop every student’s abilities and by designing varied and motivational learning environments, which may include Distance Learning; participate in department, division, and college-wide initiatives and committees; be committed to, and participate in the shared-governance process. Essential Duties Summary Demonstrate sensitivity to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability and ethnic backgrounds of community college students. Required Qualifications Master’s in child development, early childhood education, human development, home economics/ family and consumer studies with a specialization in child development/early childhood education or educational psychology with a specialization in child development/early childhood education OR Bachelor’s in any of the above AND Master’s in social work, educational supervision, elementary education, special education, psychology, bilingual/bicultural education, life management/ home economics, family life studies or family and consumer studies OR the equivalent Desired/Preferred Qualifications Physical Demands Range/Step Range /Step: Step 1 - Step 7 (Based on degree and teaching experience) Salary and Benefits Salary Range: $55.01 - $86.94 per lecture hour Benefits Information EEO Statement As an equal opportunity employer with a diverse staff and student population, the Yuba Community College District is committed to creating an inclusive and effective learning and working environment for all. #J-18808-Ljbffr
