Post Partum Registered Nurse

The Post Partum Registered Nurse provides care for mothers and newborns during their postpartum period. This role involves assessing, planning, and implementing nursing interventions based on the patient's needs. The nurse will provide education and support to new parents regarding infant care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery. Responsibilities include administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and performing newborn assessments. The nurse is expected to follow safety protocols and maintain a high standard of care in all situations. Floating to like units may be required based on facility needs. Weekends may also be required. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for this position. Candidates should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
