- Performs microscopic examinations.
- Provides final interpretations of normal gynecological specimens.
- Provides initial interpretations of non-gynecological, FNA and abnormal gynecological specimens using standardized procedures.
- Assists in the collection and preparation of FNA and biopsy specimens for immediate evaluation; understanding method principles; performing quality control and quality assurance activities and evaluating results based on patient demographics and history.
- Works independently, organizes work to meet established deadlines and validates all data obtained.

Qualifications Education Requirements
- 4 year/Bachelor's Degree
- Graduate of a Cytotechnology Program
- CT (Cytologist) ASCP certified or eligible (must be obtained within one year of hire)
