About A Little More About What You Will be Doing The Radiology Technician (CRT) supports patient care by performing x-rays as directed by the physician for diagnostic purposes. Proficiency with the use of x-ray equipment and associated procedures is required according to assignments and responsibilities. The CRT will also perform routine and basic administrative and clinical tasks to keep the offices of physicians and other health practitioners running efficiently. Performs diagnostic radiographic procedures, positioning patients on the examining table and adjusting equipment to acquire optimum views of specific body area as ordered by clinician Performs procedures based on established technique chart using independent judgment to support the radiological orders Uses appropriate technique charts and assures markers are set appropriately Maintains logs for quality control based on manufacturers’ recommendations Reviews dosimeter reports monthly May assist the clinician during examinations and/or minor surgeries Keeps exam and/or procedure rooms stocked with adequate medical/surgical supplies, maintains instruments, and performs sterilization as required Escorts patients to exam rooms, interviews patients, measures vital signs and documents information in patient’s chart, and performs designated diagnostic tests as directed by the provider Qualifications Education High school diploma or GED required Bachelor's degree preferred Vocational or Technical diploma preferred Experience 1 year as an X-Ray Technician in an outpatient clinical/medical office setting preferred Licenses/Certification Imaging CA Radiologic Tech (CRT) required Basic Life Support (BLS) from American Heart Association or American Red Cross required (BLS expiration date must be valid 60 days from the start date) American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred Req ID: 13744 Working Title: Radiologic Technologist - Orthopedics - Marina del Rey Department: KJI Marina Business Entity: Cedars-Sinai Medical Care Foundation Job Category: Imaging Job Specialty: Diagnostic Imaging Overtime Status: NONEXEMPT Primary Shift: Day Shift Duration: 8 hour Base Pay: $34.69 - $53.77 #J-18808-Ljbffr Cedars-Sinai
