Job Title - PT AIDE-ADULT BASIC EDUCATION & LITERACY PROGRAM

Position Status - Part Time

Classification Title - Part-Time Hourly-Up to 17 hpw

Job Summary - Job duties include working with the directors and coordinators to enroll students in the Adult Basic Education and Literacy Programs at Midland College. Aides will also assist personnel with record keeping and basic administrative support.

Required Qualifications - High school diploma or equivalentStrong organizational skillsExcellent written and oral communication skillsStrong computer skillsAble to work independently

Preferred Qualifications - Associate's Degree

Essential Functions - Greet students and provide excellent customer serviceAssist director and coordinators with student orientation, registration, and placement testingAssist with maintenance of student and program recordsAssist with answering phones and communicating information about Adult Basic Education and Literacy ProgramsSupport student enrollment process for all incoming Adult Basic Education and Literacy students to include reviewing paperwork with students, administration of placement testing, and maintaining student filesSend current and future students information on registrations and orientationsProvide service to students and community members who walk into the Adult Basic Education and Literacy Department areaTrack student program hours and assist with progress testing studentsCollect student attendance data and enrollment information and provide these records to the TEAMS Data Entry Clerk regularlyAttend required staff development and meetingsOther duties as assigned

Min Salary - $14.50 per hour
