Network Engineer

Network Engineer Wolfspeed is seeking an energetic professional for the IT Network Services team within the IT Global Operations Infrastructure. This role ensures operational performance and service levels are met or exceeded across the IT network infrastructure. Responsibilities Define, review, and implement network components and solution improvements. Propose and implement system enhancements (software and hardware updates) that improve performance and reliability of the enterprise network. Recommend upgrades of data networks. Coordinate network system planning, upgrading, monitoring, testing, and servicing. Coordinate network and carrier maintenance and inventory records. Develop and implement network infrastructure and security policies, practices, and standards to ensure consistent operations. Perform network operations and monitoring; implement proactive solutions that reduce time to repair (TTR). Monitor network devices, firewalls, routers, switches, controllers, and IP services. Plan performance and capacity of key network service delivery channels, including network, voice, wireless, internet, extranet, and circuit. Collaborate with teams to develop and meet company goals while providing expertise on network development, lifecycle, improvements, design, processes, new technology systems, and security. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field. 7+ years of network experience, including at least 5 years at an engineering level. Expertise in driving a culture of automation and innovation to optimize operations, focusing on performance, resource utilization, productivity, reliability, and scalability. Ability to think ahead of the curve and prioritize risk (probability vs impact). Willingness to take on additional duties as designated by management. Wolfspeed is an equal opportunity employer.
