Job Description:
Must have skills: Android development experience, expert-level proficiency in Kotlin; strong knowledge of Java.
Good to have skills: Java programming.
Grade(s): C1
Location(s): NYC, NY, Dallas, TX (all 5 days in office).
Category Requirements:
- Experience: 5 years of professional Android development experience.
- Language: Expert-level proficiency in Kotlin; strong knowledge of Java.
- Architecture: Hands-on experience with MVVM, Clean Architecture, or MVI patterns.
- Security: Experience implementing biometric authentication, encryption, certificate pinning, OAuth 2.0/OpenID Connect.
- Testing: Proficiency with JUnit, Espresso, Mockito, Robolectric.
- CI/CD: Experience setting up automated build and deployment pipelines.
- API Integration: Strong experience with REST APIs, GraphQL, and real-time data (WebSockets).
- Play Store: Experience with Google Play Console, app signing, staged rollouts, and release management.
- Version Control: Proficiency with Git (GitHub, GitLab, or Bitbucket).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience building mobile applications in the financial services, wealth management, or brokerage industry.
- Familiarity with financial data standards (FIX protocol, market data feeds).
- Experience with cross-platform parity projects (replicating iOS apps on Android or vice versa).
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance requirements for financial mobile apps (SOC 2, data privacy regulations).
- Experience with analytics and crash reporting tools (Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, Datadog).
- Familiarity with design systems and maintaining consistency across platforms.
- Knowledge of accessibility testing tools and practices.
