• Experienced Dental Assistant (1+ years)

At least 1-2 years of experience in a dental assisting role is preferred.

Job Description: Dental Assistant at Meharry Dental
As a Dental Assistant at Meharry Dental, you will play a vital role in supporting the dental team and providing exceptional care to our diverse patient base. Your key responsibilities will include:
Assisting the dentist during various dental procedures to ensure smooth operations and patient comfort.
Preparing, sterilizing, and organizing dental instruments and equipment in compliance with safety and hygiene standards.
Taking and developing dental X-rays to help diagnose and monitor oral health.
Recording accurate patient information and updating dental records in our digital system.
Educating patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care.
Ensuring the treatment rooms are well-stocked, clean, and organized to provide a safe and efficient environment.
Assisting in patient scheduling and managing patient flow during appointments.
Maintaining a positive, compassionate approach in all patient interactions, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere.

Shift & Schedule

Shift and Schedule:
Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Every Other Friday: 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM
This schedule provides a great balance of consistent hours throughout the week, along with extended weekends every other week!
