Pharmacy Technician

Pharmacy TechnicianMonday – Friday schedule. No late nights, no weekends, and 11 paid holidays.General FunctionResponsible for complying with all state and federal laws, rule and regulations to fill prescriptions, and operate daily activities.Position OverviewAssist pharmacist in any reasonable procedure as deemed necessary by pharmacist. Answer all phone calls, take customer walk-in information, type labels, file prescription. Call and/or electronically contact doctors for refill authorizations, assist in any report procedures.Key ResponsibilitiesAssist pharmacist in filling clinic and other satellite requisitions for drugs and pharmaceutical supplies (e.g. count pills and fill containers; fill containers with creams and ointments).Assist in packaging operations.Maintain related records and files.Prepares communications and reports.Bill all third-party transactions to appropriate carrier.Assist pharmacist in stock ordering, receiving all incoming stock and placing on shelves.Keep pharmacy orderly and neat, clean and stock shelvesOperate cash register and computerCall doctors for refill authorizationsAssist pharmacist in inventory control by preparing supply orders, maintaining inventory records and rotating stock.Check for outdated medications, price labeling of medications.QualificationsHigh School Diploma or equivalentMinimum of 6 months pharmacy technician experience, requiredAbility to perform basic mathematical calculations and to read and write common vocabularyMust be a registered Pharmacy Technician with the State of Ohio.Who We Are:Neighborhood Health Association (NHA) is Northwest Ohio's largest community health center system.
