Sr. Network Developer

Salary: $91,400 - 187,000 per year Requirements:

• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• 3–5 years of network engineering experience focused on network hardware platform engineering
• Strong knowledge of hardware specifications and design requirements
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills for working with internal teams and external customers
• Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to analyze complex issues and develop creative solutions
• Experience engaging switch, router, and optical manufacturers to define hardware specifications
• Understanding of industry trends and emerging technologies in network hardware platform engineering
• Preferred: Masters degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
• Preferred: 5+ years of network engineering experience focused on network hardware platform engineering
• Preferred: Experience with cloud-based network architectures, virtualization technologies, and software-defined networking
• Preferred: Knowledge of security and compliance requirements for network hardware platforms
• Preferred: Experience with agile development methodologies and version control systems
• Preferred: Leadership and mentoring skills, including the ability to guide junior engineers

• Design, develop, and deploy network hardware platforms, including switches, routers, and optical systems
• Work with switch, router, and optical manufacturers to define hardware specifications and ensure they meet our design requirements
• Partner with our engineering, product management, and sales teams to establish design requirements and align work with business goals
• Work with external customers to understand their needs and develop design requirements that meet their expectations
• Build and maintain relationships with internal teams, customers, and manufacturers
• Monitor industry trends and emerging technologies in network hardware platform engineering
• Contribute to roadmaps and technical plans for network hardware platforms
• Ensure our hardware platforms are designed and developed for scalability, reliability, and security
