Unit Secretary - Part Time I Evenings

Unit Secretary Valley Presbyterian Hospital Support Clinical Teams & Keep Units Running Smoothly At Valley Presbyterian Hospital, our Unit Secretaries are essential to maintaining efficient unit operations and supporting patient care teams. We’re seeking a detail-oriented Unit Secretary to provide clerical, communication, and coordination support within a clinical unit. What You’ll Do

- Manage the nursing station and perform clerical and reception duties
- Maintain and organize patient charts and documentation
- Support admissions, transfers, and discharge processes
- Enter and manage data in Meditech and other systems
- Answer phones, respond to call lights, and route communications appropriately
- Maintain daily census records and unit documentation
- Provide information and support to patients, families, staff, and physicians
- Monitor and maintain unit supplies and inventory
- Ensure smooth communication and workflow across departments
- Experience in clerical or administrative support roles
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
- Ability to work in a fast-paced healthcare environment
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to obtain LA City Fire Card within 30 days
- Mission-driven healthcare organization
