Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA) – Louisville, KY
Pay: $21.64/hr | Full-Time | Day Shift | M– F | 7:45 AM – 4:00 PM
Possible rate increase for Bilingual (Spanish/English)
Work Location
Primary: Downtown Louisville (Portland + East Broadway)
Must be flexible to support both location sites as needed
We are seeking an experienced Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA) to join a busy healthcare team supporting services within the Louisville Metro Government network. This is a full-time, long-term opportunity with consistent weekday hours.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the dentist chairside during exams and procedures
Place and contour temporary and permanent restorations
Take, develop, and mount dental x-rays
Prepare patients for treatment and obtain dental records
Record patient history, treatments, and charges accurately
Remove sutures and place rubber dams as directed
Sterilize instruments and maintain dental equipment
Follow standard precautions and safety protocols
Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
Expanded Duties Dental Assistant (EDDA) experience OR completion of an EDDA training program
X-ray certification (required)
Completion of radiation safety training (per Kentucky Board of Dentistry)
Strong communication skills and ability to put patients at ease
Additional Details
CPR certification can be completed after start
Must have reliable transportation for occasional travel between locations
Opportunity is indefinite in length with current openings available
Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates may be eligible for increased compensation
