2026 Fulltime - Raytheon Power Electronics & Controls Electrical Engineer I(Onsite)

What You Will Do Design, analyze (including thermal considerations), simulate, and test power conversion circuitry potentially utilizing any standard non‑isolated power conversion topologies (buck, boost, buck‑boost) including modules and discrete designs. Guide Electronic Computer‑Aided Design (ECAD) personnel through PWB layout of power circuitry and technical drawing creation. Perform design work within the bounds of a given schedule. Present reviews of technical data to program leadership and technical staff. Qualifications You Must Have Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM). Experience in low‑level electronics components such as resistors, capacitors, inductors, diodes and/or transistors, etc and the ability to design with them. Experience with any of the following non‑isolated converter topologies: buck, boost, buck‑boost. Experience with design, analysis, and test with analog electronic design and analysis, including FET, BJT, and/or Op‑amp circuits. This position requires 12 months or less of relevant professional work experience (excluding internships). We Prefer Lab experience specific to power electronics and/or controls electronics. Demonstrated use of software tools for electrical circuit simulation and/or printed circuit board layout. Understanding of fundamental power conversion concepts, components, and techniques. Basic understanding of commonly used power converter and/or motor drive control schemes. Familiarity with circuit simulators such as SIMPLIS, Saber and/or analysis tool Mathcad.
