Purpose, Scope & Dimension of Job: Provide attractive, sanitary and safe facilities to support the strategic objectives of MCC. Perform assignments in a safe, efficient, effective and professional manner. Measure and continuously improve quality and benchmark standards and practices against industry leaders. Develop close, positive communications with departments and occupants. Supervisory Responsibility: NoneMinimum Requirements - Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: High school diploma or GED. Ability to read, write, and follow oral/written directions. Possess manual dexterity to mop, scrub, operate equipment and climb. Must possess desire to perform manual labor. Must be able to work first, second and/or third shift. Knowledge of methods, materials, and equipment used in custodial work. Safe work practices. Ability to learn to use a variety of custodial equipment, supplies and materials. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and their interaction. Ability to work effectively with a team. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks. Establish and maintain effective relationships with those contacted in the course of work. Work independently in the absence of supervision.Additional Desirable QualificationsPhysical Requirements/Working Conditions - Unique Aspects of Job (Optional): Ability to walk, kneel, climb, stand, stoop, crouch, reach, pull and do related physical activities necessary in performing custodial work. Physical Requirements: Works on ladders up to 12 feet; often lifts 60 pounds to a height of three (3) feet repetitively; Wears rubber gloves several hours per day. Must be able to work in conditions that include dust, mold and a wide variety of chemicals.Work Schedule - Second shift, 2:30pm-11pm – Monday through Friday.Additional Information - First consideration given to internal candidates.
