Elementary Occupational Therapist School Setting - Elkhart, IN

Job Description

Embark on a rewarding contract opportunity to make a meaningful difference in elementary students’ lives as a dedicated Occupational Therapist. This full-time, onsite role supports young learners near Elkhart, IN, providing transformative therapy and guidance throughout the academic year until May 28, 2027. Your expertise will foster independence, enhance participation, and support academic success in a vibrant and collaborative school environment.

What you bring:
• Active OT license, with credentials appropriate for school-based practice
• Experience working with elementary-age students, ideally within a school setting
• Solid understanding of IEPs, assessments, and therapeutic interventions
• Strong collaboration skills for working alongside teachers, support staff, and families
• Enthusiasm for implementing creative, engaging strategies to help students thrive
• Ability to adapt, organize, and prioritize in a dynamic educational environment
• Commitment to professional ethics, ongoing learning, and student-centered care
• Availability for a full-time, onsite contract starting as soon as possible

Key responsibilities include:
• Delivering direct and consultative occupational therapy services to elementary students
• Conducting comprehensive evaluations and developing individualized treatment plans
• Collaborating with educators and parents to promote student success and inclusion
• Participating in IEP meetings, maintaining documentation, and monitoring progress
• Integrating therapeutic goals into daily classroom routines and activities
• Providing training and resources to staff and caregivers as needed
• Staying current with best practices and compliance standards in school-based therapy
