Sterile Processing Manager

Barnes-Jewish St. Peters is hiring a Sterile Processing Manager to work with our dedicated team. This role oversees the Sterile Processing Department, supporting the OR teams at Progress West and Barnes St. Peters.

Role Purpose Responsible for administering and directing the Sterile Processing Department to provide quality, efficient, cost-effective decontamination, sterilization and distribution services with proper management of service utilization and inventory levels. Responsibilities Manages individual(s) including but not limited to: hires, trains, assigns work, manages and evaluates performance, conducts professional development plans. Ensures that the productivity and actions of that group meet or support the overall operational goals of the department as established by department leadership. Develops and adheres to departmental staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets, responding to changes that may affect the ability to achieve budget goals. Manages day-to-day operations of the department. Collaborates with other departments to ensure the appropriate professional standards are consistently applied. Provides decontamination and sterilization evaluation planning, operations and maintenance consultation to management at BJC organizations. Minimum Requirements Education: High School Diploma or GED. Healthcare related field. Experience: 2–5 years. Supervisor Experience: 2–5 years. Preferred Requirements Education: Associate’s Degree or Nursing. Experience: 5–10 years. Supervisor Experience: 2–5 years.
