Houston, TX • Englobal Automation Job TypeFull-timeDescriptionMain Purpose:The Procurement Manager plays a critical role in ensuring Englobal secures goods and services efficiently, cost-effectively and in alignment with business goals.Essential Functions:Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with company objectivesIdentify reliable suppliers and evaluate sourcing options (local vs. global)Forecast purchasing needs based on production or business requirementsIdentify, evaluate and onboard vendorsBuild and maintain strong supplier relationships ensuring a high level of transparency and ethical interaction not only with suppliers but with internal company stakeholdersMonitor and manage supplier performance (quality, delivery, pricing, reliability etc.) and riskNegotiate pricing, terms and contracts to achieve cost savingsDraft, review and manage contracts and service agreementsEnsure compliance with contractual terms and conditionsAnalyze spending and identify cost-saving opportunitiesManage procurement budgets and track expendituresPerform cost-benefit analyses for purchasing decisionsOversee the entire procure-to-pay (P2P) processEnsure timely purchasing of materials, goods and servicesImplement and improve procurement policies and procedures per International Organization for Standardization (ISO) standards inclusive of vendor pre-qualifications, evaluations, grading and if needed replacementEnsure procurement activities comply with company policies and regulationsManage ethical sourcing and sustainability practicesMitigate supply chain risks (e.g., delays, shortages and geopolitical risks)Lead and mentor procurement team membersCollaborate with finance, operations, legal and engineering teamsAlign procurement goals with broader organizational initiativesTrack and analyze procurement KPIs (cost savings, supplier performance and cycle time)Generate reports for leadershipUse data to drive decision-making and continuous improvementEnsure optimal stock levels (avoid overstocking or stockouts)Support demand planning and forecastingPerform other duties assigned by supervisorBenefits Offered:Earned Wage AccessHealth, Dental and Vision Insurance401(k) with Company MatchPaid HolidaysPaid VacationLife InsuranceDisability InsuranceSafety AwardsCompany StoreEmployee Assistance Program (EAP)RequirementsPhysical Requirements:Standing, sitting, walking, stooping, kneeling, climbing, feeling, talking, hearing and seeingTurning, twisting, bending and balancingPushing, pulling and reachingMust be able to lift and / or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally 50-75 poundsJob Requirements:Bachelor of Science in Supply Chain Management, Logistics or Business Administration8+ years experience in Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC)Proven working experience as a Procurement ManagerKnowledge of sourcing and procurement techniques as well as a dexterity in “reading” the marketTalent in negotiations and networkingGood knowledge of supplier or third-party management softwareAptitude in decision-making and working with numbersExperience in collecting and analyzing dataStrong leadership capabilitiesMust be able to pass pre-employment drug screenMust be able to pass a background checkDesirable Experience, Education and Training:Experience using supply chain and procurement systems (ERP, SAP etc.)Tools, Equipment and Technology:Supply Chain / Procurement software and systemsComputer and office suppliesEnvironmental Conditions:80 to 90% of the work activities are performed indoors.Englobal a Gulf Island Company will not sponsor applications for work visas.
