Registered Nurse – Maternal and Newborn CarePart-Time, 12-hour night shifts, 1900-0730, with weekend rotationContract Length: 13 weeks Guaranteed Hours: 32Two-year degree in nursing required; four-year degree preferred Wisconsin Registered Nursing license AHA BLS within 1 month of hire NRP within 6 months of hire ALSO within 1 year of hire STABLE within 1 year of hire Intermediate Fetal Monitoring within 1 year of hire Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail requiredComplete initial nursing histories, assess patient conditions, and develop individual care plans. Triage patient care based on symptoms presented. Administer medications accurately and assess labor progression. Manage labor induction, cervical ripening, and medical emergencies. Monitor fetal heart rates and manage pregnancy-related concerns. Assess newborns and recognize situations requiring enhanced care, performing necessary neonatal resuscitation when needed. Educate patients and involve them in the care of their newborns. Communicate changes in patient status promptly to the care team.
