Job Description

• Perform blood draws using venipuncture, finger sticks, and heel sticks.
• Explain extraction procedures to patients to ease anxiety.
• Label and log all blood vials with absolute accuracy.
• Process specimens using centrifuges and prepare them for lab transit.
• Maintain sterile workspaces and safely dispose of biohazardous materials.
• Manage inventory by tracking and restocking blood collection supplies.

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Training: Graduation from an accredited phlebotomy program.
• Certification: Current Certified Phlebotomy Technician (CPT) credential preferred.
• Skills: Exceptional vein-finding precision and strong data entry skills.
• Traits: Deep empathy, excellent communication, and strong diligence.
• Stamina: Ability to stand for long intervals and lift up to 50 lbs.
