Assistant Director of Nursing Educator

Responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Collaborate with the Director of Nursing to develop and implement educational programs for nursing staff, addressing knowledge gaps and skills deficits
• Design and deliver comprehensive training sessions, workshops, and in-service programs to improve nursing practice and promote a culture of excellence
• Conduct needs assessments, evaluates program effectiveness, and recommends updates or modifications to ensure program relevance and impact
• Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting active participation, open communication, and constructive feedback
• Assist the DON in managing day-to-day nursing department operations
• Supervise nursing staff and provide clinical guidance and support
• Ensure accurate, timely documentation and reporting
• Participate in clinical leadership on-call rotation
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, training, and staff evaluations
• Provide coaching, mentoring, and performance feedback
• Support disciplinary processes as needed
• Promote teamwork and a positive work environment
• Provide education to staff

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Wisconsin
• Minimum 2 years of supervisory or leadership experience in long-term care (required)
• Experience in Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) / Long-Term Care (LTC) required
• Strong knowledge of infection control standards and nursing best practices
• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
