PalletizerThe Palletizer is a great opportunity to get your foot in the door and begin growing your career in the glass manufacturing industry. This role will operate strapping machines and automatic palletizers and supplies load-building materials.The Palletizer will:Maintain supply of pallets, tier sheets, shrouds, strapping and other material required for palletizing and strapping wareCheck for proper application of straps around pallet loads (bulk and cased); places string ties and manual straps when requiredOperates automatic palletizer and automatic strapping machine, to prepare load of wareUnjams strapping machine and automatic palletizers as requiredStraightens loads, replaces bottles, discards damaged bulking materials, and checks load integrityChecks oil level in VFC regulators of automatic palletizersIdentify problems with equipment, may make very minor adjustments and reports malfunction of equipment to designated employeeMay manually palletize loads when automatic equipment malfunctionsPerforms clean-up and housekeeping dutiesThe Palletizer should have:Strong mechanical aptitudeGood interpersonal skillsBe highly safety consciousAble to work a 12-hour rotating shift scheduleSolid attendance record in previous employmentQualifications:At least 18 years of age.High School Diploma or GEDPrevious experience in a manufacturing environment is preferredMust be able to lift 25 lbs. on a regular basis.Must be able to work a 12-hour rotating schedule, with weekend and holiday requirements.Must be authorized to work in the U.S. on a full-time basisMust be able to perform the essential functions of the job with or without reasonable accommodationsNO WALK-INS, PHONE CALLS OR EMAILS PLEASE.What We Offer:Hourly Wage: The hourly wage for this position is $26.73O-I offers a very generous benefit package – some of the highlights are:Vacation time and paid holidaysMedical, dental, prescription and vision care coveragePre-tax accountsWell-being program which includes opportunity to earn employer contributionsLife and AD&D InsuranceDisability Insurance401(k) retirement saving plans with employer contributionsFinancial advisors to assist with retirement planning and financial wellnessEmployee Assistance ProgramAll your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.O-I is an Equal Opportunity and Affirmative Action Employer committed to building a diverse, equitable and inclusive culture.
