Federal Commissioning (Cx) Operations Manager

What You’ll DoLead growth, execution, and delivery of federal commissioning services across projects and teams.Identify and pursue new federal market opportunities aligned with SSR’s strategic goalsBuild and maintain strong client relationships across federal agencies and partnersDevelop and execute pursuit strategies, proposals, and value propositionsCollaborate with marketing and business development on proposals and CRM trackingManage, mentor, and develop team members while overseeing staffing and workload planningEnsure technical quality, performance standards, and process consistency across projectsProvide senior-level oversight for commissioning activities, including plans, testing, and documentationSupport resolution of complex technical challenges and project conflictsLead project planning including scope definition, budgeting, scheduling, and executionConduct site visits, inspections, and functional testing activitiesFacilitate client, owner, and stakeholder meetings and maintain clear communicationMonitor project financial performance including billing, forecasting, and profitabilityStay current on federal regulations, commissioning standards, and industry trendsWho We’re Looking ForMinimum Requirements:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related fieldRegistered Professional Engineer (PE) or Licensed ArchitectMinimum 12 years of relevant experience; commissioning experience strongly preferredPrior experience with Department of Defense (DoD) projects preferredMust hold a current Commissioning Authority (CxA) certification or obtain it within the first 90 days of employmentMust be willing to apply for and maintain a work visa (with company support) for project work in foreign countriesMust be willing to apply for and maintain a company credit card with sufficient capacity to cover monthly travel expenses pending reimbursementMust be eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Common Access Card (CAC) as required for access to client facilities, systems, and projects.Certain projects may require U.S. citizenship or other eligibility criteria as mandated by federal law, regulation, or contract requirements. Candidates must be able to meet the requirements applicable to assigned projects.
