Step into a dynamic, contract-based opportunity supporting students as a school-based Occupational Therapist in the Pittsford, NY area. This full-time position spans both elementary and middle school settings, conveniently located within easy walking distance of each other, so you’ll enjoy variety without a lengthy commute. Hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30am to 3:00pm, allowing for work-life balance and stable routine. The assignment starts as soon as possible and continues through June 25th, coinciding with the last day of school.

Key Qualifications:

• Active Occupational Therapy license in New York State
• Previous experience in school settings, specifically with elementary and middle school-aged children
• Strong understanding of IEP processes and school-based documentation
• Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and support staff
• Excellent organizational skills to manage a caseload of roughly nine sessions per day along with planning periods
• Adaptability and commitment to fostering student independence and success in a school environment

Core Responsibilities:

• Provide direct therapy services to students, addressing fine motor, sensory processing, self-care, and functional skills
• Conduct assessments and contribute to IEP development and team meetings
• Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student goals
• Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and required documentation
• Travel between two nearby campuses as part of the daily schedule
• Deliver services in both individual and small group formats, tailored to each student’s needs
