Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking a highly skilled Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) to join the operating room team for a 13-week travel contract. The ideal candidate will support surgical procedures with expertise in ortho, general, robotics, vascular, and gynecology specialties.

Responsibilities:

Assist surgeons and medical staff during surgical procedures by preparing and handling instruments and supplies.
Maintain sterile environment and ensure compliance with infection control protocols.
Operate and troubleshoot specialized surgical equipment including microscopes, laser systems, robotic platforms, and scopes.
Manage instrument trays and ensure all surgical instruments are accounted for before and after procedures.
Document procedure details accurately within the electronic medical record system.
Adhere to unit policies, dress code, and on-call/on weekends responsibilities as required.

Qualifications:

Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential required.
Minimum 1 year of experience in the surgical setting, preferably in ortho, robotics, or general surgery.
Ability to assist with a variety of surgical procedures, including ENT, orthopedics, and GYN.
Strong understanding of sterile techniques and infection prevention practices.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Current BLS certification required.
