About the Role:

The Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) plays a vital role in providing compassionate and direct care to residents in a healthcare setting located in Elwood, 0952. This position is focused on supporting nursing staff by assisting residents with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and dignity. The C.N.A. will be responsible for monitoring residents' health status and reporting any changes to the nursing team promptly. This role requires a strong commitment to resident-centered care, effective communication, and teamwork to contribute to a positive healthcare environment. Minimum Qualifications:

• Current and valid Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) certification
• Basic knowledge of patient care and safety procedures.
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screening as required.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience working as a C.N.A. in a healthcare or long-term care setting.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Additional training or coursework in geriatric or rehabilitative care.

Responsibilities:

• Assist residents with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding.
• Monitor and record residents' vital signs, including temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure.
• Provide mobility assistance, including helping residents move safely and using assistive devices as needed.
• Observe and report any changes in patients' physical or emotional condition to the nursing staff.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for residents by following infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
• Support nursing staff with basic clinical tasks and documentation as directed.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members to ensure coordinated care.
