Windows Systems Engineer

Job TitleDuration: 4 + Months Contract with possible extension Required Skills & Experience.Strong experience with Windows system administration including Windows profiles, Windows services, scheduled tasks, and NTFS file sharesDeep understanding of NTFS permissions and least-privilege security practicesExperience working in Active Directory using ADUC to manage users, groups, and devicesStrong knowledge of domain authentication and basic network troubleshooting, including firewalls and open or closed portsProven ability to perform root cause analysis using Event Viewer, ProcMon, environment variables, and Process ExplorerExperience with log investigation and proactive system monitoringExperience leading problem management efforts and implementing long-term fixes, not just break-fix solutionsExperience with CAD software (e.g., NX, AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA) and its deployment requirements.Ability to create install packages and scripts to automate application deploymentStrong scripting skills in BATCH and PerlExperience using GitHub for version control and maintaining documentationExperience applying development rigor across the full lifecycle including requirements, design, testing, and production deploymentExperience working within formal change control and release management processes with a focus on risk mitigationStrong documentation skills including technical guides and process documentationStrong written and verbal communication skills and experience working with stakeholders and resolving conflictsHighly self-motivated and technically curious, with a track record of independently identifying risks, exploring system behavior, and continuously driving improvement of the current system and processes.Preferred Skills:Experience managing and optimizing virtual machinesPowerShell scripting.C/C++/C# development experience.Working knowledge of Group Policy Objects (GPOs) and Windows ServerExperience with enterprise application packaging and deploymentFamiliarity with structured problem management and governance practicesBachelor's degree in a STEM field preferred.
