Harmony Mental Healthcare is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Mental Health Therapist to join our dynamic telehealth team. As a full-time therapist operating remotely from anywhere in the U.S., you will provide specialized mental health services to individuals coping with the complexities of trauma. You will play a vital role in helping our patients navigate their recovery journey through evidence-based therapeutic interventions and supportive care.

Although your work will primarily consist of virtual appointments, you will be an integral part of a supportive team that meets weekly to discuss cases, strategies, and continued education for professional growth.
Key Responsibilities\n- \n
- Conduct thorough trauma-informed assessments to understand patients’ backgrounds, and devise personalized treatment strategies. \n
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans focused on trauma recovery, resilience-building, and overall mental well-being. \n
- Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), to facilitate healing. \n
- Provide individual therapy and facilitate group therapy sessions aimed at helping patients process their trauma and develop effective coping mechanisms. \n
- Work collaboratively with psychiatrists, nurses, and other mental health professionals to coordinate comprehensive care for patients. \n
- Deliver crisis intervention support during trauma-related emergencies, offering immediate assistance to stabilize patients. \n
- Educate patients and their families about trauma responses, coping strategies, and available resources to enhance their understanding and support networks. \n
- Maintain accurate, confidential documentation of therapy sessions and assessments, ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical standards. \n
- Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and ongoing training focused on best practices in trauma-informed care. \n
- Stay current with research, tools, and methodologies related to trauma therapy to enhance your knowledge and skills. \n
You will work primarily with adult patients who have been adversely affected by trauma. This includes survivors of domestic violence, abuse, military combat, and other traumatic experiences. Your work will be crucial in addressing their mental health needs, facilitating recovery, and enhancing their overall quality of life.
Qualifications\n- \n
- An accredited Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology. \n
- Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New Jersey. \n
- Strong understanding of trauma-informed practices and effective treatment modalities. \n
- Demonstrated ability to provide therapeutic interventions specific to trauma recovery. \n
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, characterized by a compassionate and empathetic approach. \n
- Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and other computer applications relevant to clinical practice. \n
- \n
- Minimum of 2 years of post-licensure clinical experience preferred, with a strong emphasis on trauma-focused therapy. \n
- Experience in a community health setting or outpatient clinic is an advantage. \n
- Familiarity with multidisciplinary team collaboration to enhance patient care is desirable. \n
