Summers Plumbing Heating & Cooling is looking for a motivated, confident, and personable  Plumbing Sales Technician who wants to combine sales ability with a career in the skilled trades.

Since 1969, Summers has helped Indiana homeowners take care of their plumbing, heating, and cooling needs. We're looking for someone who can walk into a customer's home, build trust, understand the problem, identify opportunities, and confidently present solutions.

We'll teach you plumbing.

You bring the personality, work ethic, and drive.

What You'll Actually Do

This isn't a traditional plumbing position where the goal is simply to fix what's broken and move on to the next call.

You'll meet homeowners inside their homes, diagnose plumbing concerns, ask questions, understand what matters to the customer, and provide options that solve the immediate problem while helping protect their home long term.

You'll learn how to:

• Build trust quickly with homeowners

• Ask great questions and uncover customer needs

• Diagnose common residential plumbing problems

• Inspect plumbing systems and identify additional concerns

• Present repair, replacement, and upgrade options

• Explain solutions in a way customers can easily understand

• Build options instead of simply giving someone a price

• Help homeowners confidently make decisions

• Perform residential plumbing repairs and installations

• Identify opportunities for larger plumbing projects

• Follow up on sales opportunities and unsold estimates

• Build long-term customer relationships

• Continually improve through weekly sales and technical training

Experience in  sales, automotive sales, home improvement sales, roofing sales, construction sales, pest control sales, water treatment sales, retail sales, wireless sales, real estate, customer service, or other performance-driven positions can translate extremely well into this career.

No Plumbing Experience? That's Okay.

Previous plumbing or skilled-trade experience is welcome, but  it is not required.

We can teach you how residential plumbing systems work.

We can teach you how to diagnose common plumbing problems.

We can teach you how to repair and replace plumbing components.

We can teach you how to inspect a home and recognize opportunities that others may overlook.

We can teach you the technical side of the skilled trades.

What we're looking for is much harder to teach:

The drive to win, the confidence to lead a conversation, and the ability to connect with people.

Compensation

$80,000 – $125,000+ annual earning potential

This is a performance-driven sales opportunity with  uncapped incentives and spiffs.

The more you learn, the better you communicate, the more customers you help, and the stronger you perform, the greater your opportunity to earn.
