REQUIREMENTS FOR CONSIDERATION INCLUDE:

Graduation from high school or its equivalent Must have an AA degree or higher or at least 48 semester units of general education or meet a rigorous standard of quality and demonstrate through an assessment, the knowledge and ability to assist instruction. One year experience working with children in an organized setting Possession of or ability to obtain a valid First Aid and CPR certificate. Knowledge of Federal, state, and local laws relating to school and student safety. Knowledge of behavior modification and conflict resolution strategies and techniques; policies, rules and regulations concerning appropriate student behavior typical playground games Knowledge of district and school emergency procedures including fire drills, earthquakes, intruder on campus and others; basic content taught in District schools; basic instructional methods and techniques. Ability to assist with educational-based activities in the Expanded Learning environment. Ability to effectively exercise discretion and judgment in choosing appropriate courses of action and responding to crisis and emergency situations in a timely manner. Ability to perform effectively and efficiently in situations requiring tact, diplomacy and good judgment. Ability to monitor students through continuous movement and respond to situations in a quick and timely manner. Potential exposure to blood, other bodily fluids, and children with aggressive behavior.
