A Note from Mark

I opened my agency in 2015 after spending more than 20 years in the financial industry. Today, our team serves customers throughout Arlington, Euless, and the surrounding Tarrant County area.

We are currently looking for a dependable and confident Billing Specialist to join our team in our Arlington office. This position is ideal for someone who communicates clearly, stays organized, and can approach sensitive billing conversations with professionalism and empathy.

You will not spend your day quietly working behind a stack of paperwork. You will connect with customers, answer questions, solve problems, and help people get their accounts back on track.

What You'll Do

• Make outbound calls regarding past-due payments and account balances
• Answer incoming customer billing calls
• Explain billing statements, payment schedules, balances, and account activity
• Process payments and document customer interactions accurately
• Follow up on unresolved billing concerns and outstanding balances
• Assist customers with account updates and general service questions
• Work closely with the agency team to resolve billing or policy-related concerns
• Maintain accurate records in agency systems
• Complete additional customer service and administrative responsibilities as needed

What We're Looking For

• Comfortable making outbound payment and follow-up calls
• Friendly but firm when discussing sensitive financial matters
• Clear written and verbal communication skills
• Strong listening, problem-solving, and customer service abilities
• Organized, dependable, and attentive to detail
• Able to manage multiple priorities with limited supervision
• Comfortable learning new technology and account-management systems
• Previous billing, collections, customer service, banking, or insurance experience is preferred
• State Farm or insurance experience is a plus but not required
• Able to work full-time from our Arlington office

This is an in-office position located in Arlington, Texas. Remote and hybrid work are not available for this role.

This position is with a State Farm independent contractor agent, not with State Farm Insurance Companies. Employees of State Farm agents must successfully complete any applicable licensing requirements and training programs.

Compensation: $40,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
