Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) – Pediatric Care Location : Milledgeville, GA Job Type : Part-Time, 8 hours per week Job Description We are seeking a compassionate and reliable Licensed Practical Nurse to support a pediatric patient with specialized medical needs in Milledgeville, Georgia. This part-time role provides hands‑on care for a child diagnosed with conditions such as Cerebral Palsy. The LPN will work closely with the family and care team to ensure the child’s comfort, safety, and overall well‑being. Key Responsibilities Provide direct pediatric nursing care, focusing on children with Cerebral Palsy or related neurological or physical conditions. Administer prescribed medications, treatments, and basic therapies. Monitor and assess the child’s condition, documenting observations and reporting any changes promptly. Educate and guide family members on safe care routines including feeding, mobility support, and the use of home medical equipment. Collaborate with physical therapists, speech therapists, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to follow individualized care plans. Perform routine nursing tasks such as vital signs, feeding tube management, basic wound care, and assistance with daily activities. Maintain accurate medical records that meet state and agency standards. Participate in ongoing training to remain current with pediatric and neurological care practices. Qualifications Active Georgia LPN license, required. At least 1 year of nursing experience, pediatric or neurological care preferred. Compassionate, patient centered approach to caregiving. Strong communication skills with the ability to work well with families and care teams. Current CPR certification, PALS preferred or willingness to obtain. Preferred Skills Experience supporting children with Cerebral Palsy or similar conditions. Familiarity with pediatric home care equipment such as feeding pumps, mobility devices, suction equipment, or positioning aids.
