Physician - Thoracic Surgery (WHH)

General Thoracic Surgeon – WVU School of Medicine, Wheeling, WV Position Summary: West Virginia University School of Medicine and the Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery seek a General Thoracic Surgeon (Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor). The role is based in Wheeling, WV, with possible service at additional sites in West Virginia, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. Travel is anticipated as required. Duties: Provide excellent patient care as part of the WVU Heart and Vascular Institute and Mary Babb Randolph Cancer Center. Perform minimally invasive lung and esophageal surgery. Teach medical students, residents, and fellows. Engage in academic activities and collaborate with internationally renowned thoracic surgeons. Qualifications: MD or DO degree (or foreign educational equivalent) and eligibility for a state medical license. Completion of a general surgery residency program and a cardiothoracic surgery fellowship program. Board-certified or board-eligible in thoracic surgery.
