Senior Commissioning Engineer

LHH Recruitment Solutions is partnering with a leading manufacturing organization to identify a Commissioning Engineer and Project Manager to support capital equipment installations, facility expansions, and process start-ups. This role will be responsible for leading commissioning activities from installation through full operational readiness, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget. Responsibilities Lead commissioning and start-up activities for new equipment, production lines, and facility expansions Develop and execute commissioning plans, including FAT/SAT, installation verification, and performance testing Manage cross-functional project teams including engineering, operations, maintenance, and external vendors Ensure equipment and systems meet design specifications, operational requirements, and safety standards Troubleshoot technical issues during installation and start-up to minimize downtime and delays Track project timelines, budgets, and deliverables, providing regular updates to leadership Coordinate training for operations and maintenance teams on new systems and equipment Support continuous improvement initiatives post-commissioning to optimize performance Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or related field) 8+ years of experience in project engineering, commissioning, or capital project management within manufacturing Proven experience leading equipment installations and start-up activities Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, automation, and industrial systems Excellent project management and organizational skills Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities Ability to travel up to 25% as needed Preferred Qualifications PMP certification or equivalent Experience with large-scale capital projects ($1M+) Background in highly regulated or complex manufacturing environments Location: Columbus, OH Industry: Manufacturing Employment Type: Direct Hire Salary: $100,000-$120,000 based on experience Equal Opportunity Employer/Veterans/Disabled The Company will consider qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records. #J-18808-Ljbffr LHH
