Entry-Level Civil Engineer - Remediation Networking Event with AECOM

AECOM is hosting an exclusive invitation-only hiring event in Atlanta on November 5th and 6th.  This is a great opportunity to learn and connect with AECOM for career opportunities starting Spring/Summer 2027.

The event kicks off on Thursday evening with a networking mixer from 6-8 pm where you can hear from AECOM staff about various projects career paths and the company itself. Youll also have the chance to meet other students recent graduates and AECOM professionals from across our business lines.

On Friday interviews will take place at our Atlanta office.  This is a fantastic opportunity to learn about and connect with AECOM for early career opportunities.

AECOM  is actively seeking an Entry-Level Civil Engineer to join our well-established department Remediation business line. The Remediation Business Line focuses primarily on providing professional and technical services in engineering design code consultation and construction phase services for a wide variety of clients both in the private and public sectors. 

The selected candidate for the role will be responsible for executing large and complex engineering projects and provide a comprehensive range of professional planning and design systems engineering and technical assistance program and construction management and operations and maintenance services. The team provides technical skills on projects within the department and will develop strong relationships with the team and clients to enable pursuit of new opportunities.

The successful candidate will have the ability to communicate effectively with members of the project team clients site personnel and office management and work both independently and as part of a project team. The individual will be committed to the teams success and growth; will rigorously apply safety policies and procedures; will manage the technical cost and schedule elements of project delivery; and will effectively manage the quality of field efforts and project deliverables within the bounds of the AECOM Quality Management System.

The job responsibilities for the position will include but are not limited to:

Builds analytic and design skills.
Conducts engineering design under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
Creates designs calculations sketches diagrams schematic drawings and final working drawings under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
Collects and analyzes data under the supervision of an experienced engineer.
Uses computer software as a tool for solving basic engineering problems.
Performs work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule under supervision.

Qualifications :

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• BA/BS in Civil Engineering or related field 0 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education
• Valid U.S Drivers License and as a condition of employment must pass AECOMs Motor Vehicle Records Review
• Due to the nature of work U.S. Citizenship is required
• Position requires frequent traveling to field locations in personal vehicle. Locations and distances vary and could include occasional overnight travel and operation of rental vehicle. Frequently lifting carrying and loading equipment such as sample coolers without assistance up to 50lbs.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Ability to proactively lead Remediation technical efforts and project team staff.
• Experience as Senior Project Engineer on large scale projects in Environment
• Experience with planning or implementing redevelopment projects for Remedial Design
• Experience with CERCLA and RCRA remediation programs at complex sites
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification
• Experience with construction documentation construction management systems and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel Word Outlook)
• Strong technical report writing skills and the ability to develop design specifications
