Software Engineer (Frontend)

About Us

Gridline is here to redefine how private markets operate, making them faster, smarter, and more accessible. We are setting a new standard by building the Turnkey Alternatives Management Platform (TAMP) to help wealth managers run private market programs at scale. As a ledger-native system of record, Gridline provides a single source of truth that tracks the entire investment lifecycle down to the transaction layer, enabling RIAs, family offices, and private banks to manage their private markets business in one place. Our team brings deep experience across both enterprise technology and alternative investments to build the infrastructure layer the industry has always lacked. Backed by an $18.5M Series A led by FINTOP, we are creating the systems and structuring the data required to define the next generation of private market investing. Are you up to the challenge?

The Opportunity

As a frontend Software Engineer at Gridline, you will be the primary visual architect and user experience champion powering our alternative investment platform. You will hold end-to-end ownership of the user interface - from crafting clean, responsive UI component systems to designing intuitive product workflows for complex financial data.

As a key member of our engineering team, you will help us maintain the high standards required for a fintech platform. Our high-velocity team of builders value systems thinking and long-term impact, and your role will be critical in evolving our SaaS client experience, ensuring our platform remains performant, beautiful, and capable of streamlining sophisticated financial workflows.

This is an amazing opportunity to join Gridline at this inflection point, reporting directly to our Director of Engineering.

In this role you will...

• Maintain A High Standard For Frontend Design & Craft: Act as both frontend developer and UI/UX designer, defining visual standards, component patterns, and interaction models across the platform.
• Build Scalable Interfaces: Develop, maintain, and optimize highly responsive, accessible web applications using React (TypeScript) built with Claude Code.
• Architect SaaS User Experiences: Translate complex fintech data (such as fund performance metrics and accounting data) into intuitive visual interfaces that spans workflows (e.g. onboarding), dashboards, and reporting tools - for both internal and external customers.
• Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Partner closely with product, backend engineering, and operations teams to translate complex technical and business requirements into seamless client experiences.
• Ensure Performance & Polish: Implement robust web performance, cross-browser consistency, and state management strategies to maintain a high bar for speed, polish, and stability in a regulated environment.

You have...

• Experience: At least 4 years of frontend engineering experience, specifically with React and TypeScript, along with proven hands-on UI/UX design capabilities (translating wireframes, user flows, and product specs into production layout without dedicated design handoffs).
• Nice to Have Experience: Hands-on experience with building or configuring CI/CD pipelines, experience building or leveraging component libraries (e.g., Material UI), and/or Node.js and AWS.
• AI Integration: At least some experience with Claude Code, LLM prompt engineering, and AI-assisted UI/UX development.
• Domain Expertise: Ideally, prior experience in Fintech or regulated industries, specifically with dashboards, data visualization, transaction workflows, or complex SaaS platforms.
• Location: Based in Atlanta, GA (hybrid).

Our tech stack is...

• Golang (backend)
• React - JavaScript/Typescript (frontend)
• AWS (Terraform / Terragrunt)
• MySQL

$150,000 - $175,000 a year

• Salary is determined by a variety of factors, including specialized skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
• This salary range is one component of our total rewards package.

We offer...

• Impact: The opportunity to join a Series A fintech at a high-growth inflection point.
• Mission-Driven Work: The ability to revolutionize the private markets space and build the industry’s infrastructure layer.
• Elite Collaboration: A tight-knit team of experienced operators and builders who are passionate about scaling startups.
