Territory Manager - Builder

Responsibilities Perform sales calls, travel to customer sites, share information, support customers, make sales presentations, calculate and quote prices, take orders, and close transactions. Provide customer service to resolve issues within marketing policies. Communicate customer requirements and request support from other departments. Monitor territory performance against established objectives and take strategic actions to improve performance. Provide product‑specific feedback to product line managers, management, or customer service personnel as appropriate. Assist in establishing sales objectives with the District Manager and ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and practices. Provide timely field activity reporting and special reports for business and product planning. Assist in developing a territory coverage plan that defines support type and frequency of customer contact. Perform analysis on regional opportunities and develop sales forecasts by customer and product, and produce statistical reports on a timely basis. Qualifications High school diploma required; college degree a plus. 1‑3 years of progressively responsible work‑related experience and any combination of education and training that provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the essential functions of the job. Knowledge of marketing and sales concepts, basic accounting, product development, manufacturing procedures, distribution, and customer service. Proficiency in using a PC, e‑mail, and in‑house database systems. Strong presentation and communication skills in oral, written, and interpersonal forms to effectively interact and negotiate with internal and external customers and business contacts. Ability to reduce tension or conflict in antagonistic situations while maintaining professionalism. Ability to persuade, market, and sell new ideas. Ability to gather, assemble, correlate, and analyze statistical and financial data to develop solutions. Additional Requirements 75%‑100% domestic travel via land and/or air. May be required to lift and move up to 100 lbs without lifting aids. Vision requirements comparable to those needed for a valid driver’s license. 100% body movement required to perform the job (standing, reaching, climbing, using all major limbs).
