Job Overview We are seeking a strategic and hands‑on Training Manager to lead the development and execution of training programs across our logistics operations. The role enhances employee capability, facilitates onboarding, and drives performance through structured learning initiatives across distributed teams. The role requires extensive travel (up to 50–70 % to U.S. sites). About the Role The Training Manager is responsible for establishing, governing, and executing a comprehensive training and competency framework that enables new site launches and steady‑state operations to achieve and sustain operational excellence. The position owns the end‑to‑end development, standardisation, and delivery of training—covering process documentation, instructional design, systems readiness, and trainer capability—to ensure operational processes are effectively taught, embedded, and transitioned to local teams once competence is demonstrated. Key Responsibilities Training Standards & Governance : Own and govern the Training & Launch Standards framework, including role‑based competencies, certification requirements, documentation standards, and evaluation cadence aligned to DP World’s launch blueprint and operational model. Train‑the‑Trainer (TWI/TTT) Methodology : Establish and maintain a methodology grounded in adult learning principles to scale internal capability and ensure consistency across sites. Curriculum & Material Development : Apply ADDIE and ISO principles to develop SOPs, SWIs, job aids, visual standards, simulations, and microlearning. Skill Gap Analysis : Identify operational training needs through job task analysis, performance data, audits, and consultation with Operations, Quality, Safety, and HR. Collaboration with Leadership : Partner with site leadership and functional leads to align training with operational requirements and business objectives. Process Documentation & Enablement : Lead development and maintenance of SOPs, work instructions, and job aids for launch and steady‑state operations, ensuring clarity, version control, visual management, and exception handling. Training Matrices : Build and maintain role‑based training matrices for direct and indirect labour, ensuring audit‑ready documentation of competency and certification. Training Delivery : Deliver training directly (classroom, on‑the‑job, and systems‑based) and/or oversee delivery through certified site trainers. Trainer Management : Recruit, certify, coach, and evaluate trainers; conduct bootcamps and facilitation practicums. Training Effectiveness : Monitor trainee progress and effectiveness through assessments, observations, manager feedback, and performance outcomes. Impact Evaluation : Link learning outcomes to operational metrics such as safety, quality, productivity, and SLA adherence. Systems & WMS Training : Coordinate and deliver systems/WMS training for receiving, putaway, picking, sequencing, inventory control, and reporting. UAT & Adoption : Embed UAT scenarios, simulations, and role‑based quick reference guides to drive adoption and data integrity. Systems Alignment : Partner with Operations Launch Managers, Specialists, and IT to align system configuration, test cases, and training environments. Launch Support & Transition : Support site launches through structured training deployment, ramp‑up support, and post‑launch stabilization; transition training ownership to site leadership upon meeting competency and certification requirements.
