Mechanical Assembler

New Tech Global Staffing is currently seeking a Mechanical Assembler for a client located in Conroe, TX to join their team. This is a temp-to-hire opportunity.

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour (based on experience)

Schedule: First Shift | Monday through Friday | Full-Time

Summary:

Responsible for assembling mechanical components, subassemblies, and finished products according to engineering drawings, work instructions, and quality standards. The Mechanical Assembler will utilize hand tools, power tools, and measuring instruments to ensure products are assembled accurately and efficiently.

Responsibilities
• Assemble mechanical components and subassemblies according to blueprints, schematics, and work instructions
• Read and interpret engineering drawings, assembly diagrams, and specifications
• Use hand tools, power tools, torque wrenches, and measuring devices to complete assemblies
• Inspect parts and completed assemblies to ensure compliance with quality standards
• Perform mechanical fitting, alignment, and adjustment of components as required
• Identify and report defective materials, equipment issues, or assembly discrepancies
• Maintain accurate production and quality records
• Work closely with engineering, quality, and production teams to resolve assembly issues
• Follow all safety procedures and company policies
• Maintain a clean and organized work area
• Meet daily production goals while maintaining high-quality workmanship
• Assist with testing, troubleshooting, and rework of assembled products when necessary
• Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications
• High School Diploma or GED required
• Minimum of 2 years of mechanical assembly experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment preferred
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, assembly drawings, and work instructions
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, measuring tools, and torque equipment
• Mechanical aptitude and strong troubleshooting skills
• Familiarity with hydraulic, pneumatic, or electromechanical assemblies is a plus
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Basic computer skills for documentation and work order tracking
• Strong organizational and time management skills
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Physical Requirements
• Ability to stand, bend, kneel, and reach throughout the workday
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing or shop environment
• Ability to use required personal protective equipment (PPE)
• Visual ability to inspect parts and assemblies for defects and quality standards
